Has anyone ever taken wellbutrin and cough medicine and gotten a weird trippy feeling?

Alcohol with anti-depressants can do that. Alcohol amplifies the effects of many SSRIs and SNRIs, such as Prozac and Wellbutrin. I am a lightweight and have stopped drinking because of these meds, so I've felt it from a couple sips of wine.
Ask your pharmacist if they have cough meds without alcohol. I am almost positive they do. Everyone responds differently to alcohol- I avoid it!

You're not suppose to take alcohol with anitdepressants and they may have a synergystic effect that is they increase the effect of each other more than if taken separately. However, sorry to say, I've been taking Wellbutrin for years and drank over it all the time and never noticed any ill-effects. But, then, when I was drinking, I never noticed any effects of anything.

no i cant say i have, read the little leaflet that comes with both it may state that it cannot be taken with certain other products. if not talk to the manufacturer
