I do not know much about meds & pregnancy (and it is nearly impossible to find ''good'' info on the web!), but Dr. Thomas Hale is the leading researcher on medications & breastfeeding. According to his website, Wellbutrin has a low transfer rate to milk, making it fairly safe for breastfeeding. However, it can diminish supply, so that would be something to be cautious about. He references Lamictal on this site as well, but only to say that there is information in his book. I do not own a copy -- the book is called Medication & Mother is Milk. Perhaps ur library or hospital lactation consultant has a copy.
On a side note, I obviously do not know ur history with meds for depression - but Zoloft is the drug of choice for breastfeeding mothers. Just an FYI if u r looking for something else to try. Good luck, most doctors know nothing about meds & pregnancy/breastfeeding!
